The Electronic Library of Guangdong Colleges is a territorial network library system led by the Department of Colleges and Universities of Guangdong Province. It is organized by South China Normal University, subordinated by nine online colleges such as South China Science and Technology University, South China A griculture University, Guangdong Industry University, Jinan University, Zhongshan University, Guangzhou Art College, Xinhai Music College, Guangdong Business College, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. It breaks the time and space limit and makes good use of the usable resources of all member libraries, including storage resources, network resources, material resources, human resource, intelligence resources etc.. So the reasonable utilization and sufficient share of resources have been realized to offer the efficient and satisfying services to readers in the greatest degree.

Among these services:

Borrowing Hall : It is founded for readers, which is the basic and vital area in the network library system. It faces to all reader of the member libraries and offers the all-directions, multi-angles and high-level information service. By this way the literature information resources are used to the greatest extent and readers can obtain the needed information in the unbounded information sea as soon as possible. What should be pointed out is that the three-dimensional panorama is used as the read-directing system, which makes readers know the physical construction of each member library. Through this kind of advanced video-service, readers can use the library efficiently. At the same time, it changes the traditional education mode of using the library historically by showing the new read-directing system to the freshmen. Curator's Office : It is founded for library leaders. When ¡° Handling Official Business on Network¡± and ¡°the Electronical Government Affair¡± have been well known to everyone, them are realized through the finger-clicking of leaders in the network library. Here, through knowing the daily work and information service of the member library and network library, library leaders can direct microcosmically and master macroscopically their present condition and development trend to have the scientific decision-making and effective control better. At the same time, library leaders can make a general analysis and comparation of the present condition of information resources in the area, in order that they can plan and direct effectively the relationship of libraries in each department and field. And assistanted by the governmental measures, the cooperation and share system of territorial literature information resources will be founded in the end.
